Acupuncture is the stimulation of specific acupuncture points along the skin of the body involving various methods such as penetration by thin needles, heat, pressure, or laser light. The purpose of the practice is to clear energy blockages and encourage the normal flow of the qi through the individual. Though acupuncture aims to treat a range of conditions, it is most commonly used for pain relief.
Chi Kung (Qigong, Chi Gung, Chi Qong)*
"Breath control" known as Chi Kung in China and pranayama to the yogis of India is basic to the Chinese healing arts, spiritual arts, and martial arts. The National Qigong Association (www.nqa.org) states on their website: "All styles have three things in common: they all involve a posture, (whether moving or stationary), breathing techniques, and mental focus. Some practices increase the [Chi]; others circulate it, use it to cleanse and heal the body, store it, or emit [Chi] to help heal others."
Chi Kung exercises are easy for the beginner to learn. And because there are so many forms or exercise routines from which to choose, it is easy to find a routine that suits your physical condition.

What is homeopathy?
Homeopathy is an "alternative" method used successfully to treat everything from first aid conditions to acute and chronic illnesses in people of all ages and in animals as well.
Homeopathy views disease as an imbalance in a person's "vital force" and the disease's symptoms are the body's best attempt to re-balance itself. Rather than eradicating symptoms as Western (allopathic) Medicine does, homeopathy addresses the underlying imbalance.
What is a homeopathic remedy?
Remedies are made by homeopathic pharmacies from plants, minerals, animals or even allopathic drugs such as penicillin. However, unlike allopathic drugs, they are diluted to such a degree that most doses are non-material. They are sold over-the-counter in many health food stores and some pharmacies and are FDA approved.

What is hypnosis/guided meditation?
Hypnosis is a natural state. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, it occurs naturally when you're first awake, falling asleep, watching TV, and many activities where you are totally focused and relaxed. The use of guided meditation is the most effective technique to help ease one into a hypnotic trance.
Hypnotherapy is interactive. During sessions, one speaks to the hypnotherapist while in a hypnotic trance. This has been studied and is widely considered one of the quickest ways to bring about positive change.
According to American Health Magazine:
Psychoanalysis 38% recovery after 600 sessions
Behavior Therapy 72% recovery after 22 sessions
Hypnotherapy 92% recovery after 6 sessions

Lymphedema refers to swelling that generally occurs in one of your arms or legs caused by a blockage in your lymphatic system, an important part of your immune and circulatory systems. The blockage prevents lymph fluid from draining well, and as the fluid builds up, the swelling continues. Lymphedema is most commonly caused by the removal of or damage to your lymph nodes as a part of cancer treatment.
To help manage this condition we offer lymphedema wrapping and massage to encourage the flow of the lymph fluid away from the swollen areas.
